having the mom that i do (of "you can have compassion for animals and eat them too" fame) i don't know how i ever turned out the way i am.  well, last weekend my mummy found some robin nestlings on our driveway that probably fell out of our neighbor's tree during a thunderstorm.  it was nighttime..wet, breezy, and no robin parents around.  instead of helping them, she took a shovel (mommy prefers a no-touch policy towards many critters) and tried to hide them so i wouldn't be able to find them.  luckily for me, my dad foiled her evil plan and ran into the house and ratted on her.  i fought off the shovel, scooped them up, and read up on robins instead of preparing for sunday school (all of you who know the kids in my class...don't worry, it still all got done ).  these little rugrats are such cuties!!  i can't get over those tufts of fuzz on their heads.  another week and they'll be old enough to take off =)
